Most people believe we have one guardian angel or maybe a small team of guides, but through my work with rods and energy, I’ve discovered something more specific: almost everyone has 28 spirit guides as a baseline. Some people have more, but that usually means they’re here for a special mission; a big role in shifting energy, teaching, or creating change. They are waiting for us to call on them!

Why 28?

The number itself has deep meaning across traditions.

The Role of Spirit Guides

Your guides aren’t all the same. They are assigned to you at birth and remain with you for life. Some step in often, playing a very active role, while others wait quietly in the background until the right time comes; maybe for a challenge, opportunity, or lesson you haven’t even imagined yet. Each guide is unique, carrying their own energy and purpose, ready to be called on when you need them most.

Your Higher Self is separate; it isn’t counted as one of the 28 guides. The Higher Self is the core essence of you, overseeing your path and blueprint, while your 28 guides are the team that supports every incarnation of your line.

What if You Have More Than 28?

If you have extra guides, it usually means you’ve signed up for something bigger. Think of it like a bigger team for a bigger game. These extra guides can show up when:

You’ve taken on a special mission (helping humanity, teaching, healing, shifting collective energy).
You’re moving through a particularly challenging lifetime with lots of lessons packed in.
You’re being prepared to become a guide yourself after this incarnation.

I once met a lady who had 10 angel guides within her team, bringing her total to 38 guides. When I checked with the rods, they confirmed what she already knew; that she would one day step into the role of an angel guide herself.

How This Connects to Your Blueprint

Just like your palm shows your blueprint, your guide team supports you in following it.

Your non-dominant hand shows the energy and achievements of those who came before you in your incarnation line.
Your dominant hand shows where you are tracking on your current blueprint.
The finger lengths and proportions reflect the energy vibe you’re working with.

And just like your blueprint can shift with conscious effort, your guides step in differently depending on where you’re focusing.

You’re not alone. You never were. You came into this life with a team of 28 (or more) guides as standard, each one holding a piece of wisdom, energy, or protection you’ll need along the way. And if you discover you have more? That’s a sign you’re here with a bigger purpose; and your team is ready to back you up.

What really shifted my perspective was realising that even on my darkest days, when I thought I was completely alone, I was actually supported by my guides. Knowing this makes me feel less lonely, and I believe others, especially those with busy, over-analysing minds who are often hard on themselves (like me), could benefit from this knowledge too.
